General Manager and HR Assistant

It’s not unusual to be an assistant – but in this role, you’ll be the right hand to the General Manager and to Senior People and Organisation (P&O) Director as well as a key partner in People and Organisation (HR department), helping drive the culture and operations of Novo Nordisk Israel forward.

 

Your new role

As our General Manager and HR Assistant, you will ensure smooth operations across the affiliate by providing high-level administrative and organisational support to both the General Manager (GM) and the Senior People and Organisation (P&O) Director.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing schedules, meetings, and travel logistics for the GM and P&O Director, including flights, hotels, and visitor coordination.
  • Preparing agendas, presentations, and summaries for management and departmental meetings, and ensuring timely follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Coordinating internal events such as trainings, gatherings, award ceremonies, and donation campaigns, including venue, logistics, and supplier management.
  • Managing expense reports through Concur, purchase orders and vendor contracts through Coupa, and maintaining data across internal HR and IT systems (SAP, Malam, SharePoint).
  • Supporting onboarding for new employees — scheduling meetings, sending emails to new employees and setup to first-day logistics.
  • Leading engagement initiatives such as, milestone gifts, awards and social events.
  • Acting as a trusted liaison to the General Manager and the P&O department proactively seeking ways to improve processes and enhance employee and visitors experiences.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a mature, well grounded, proactive, and highly organised professional who enjoys being at the centre of activity and can connect the dots across the organisation.

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in administrative or coordination roles, supporting senior management.
  • Experience working in multinational or global organisations (pharma or healthcare industry experience is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with systems such as Concur, Coupa, SAP, or Malam.
  • A trustworthy, discreet, and collaborative approach, with the ability to handle confidential information and respond calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Hebrew and English.
  • A background in HR operations or event management is an advantage.
  • Experience managing procurement processes or supplier relationships is an advantage.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to be available after standard working hours when required.
  • A can-do approach and in rare occasions openness to be available outside of  working hours when required.
