The position
As an System Manager, PLC , you will secure the implementation of Siemens PLC systems and later be part of the maintenance organization, and we are therefore looking for someone with a desire to achieve strong systems knowledge. In this position it is important to keep an operational mindset while securing the delivery of the PLC systems.
As an System Manager PLC at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- be responsible for supervising the day-to-day usage, operation, and maintenance of the system and / or services. The role also provides user training and support as needed and provides a single point of contact, liaison and escalation for all system and service-related matters.
- be responsible for managing the expectations of LoB, customers and users concerning the use of the systems, ensuring the most appropriate levels of service are supplied to meet future business needs, and interacting with regulatory authorities for audits and inspections e.g. FDA.
- be responsible for assisting the service provider in ensuring that existing services meet their service targets, that planned new services meet their timescales, and that targets are realistic and achieved.
- be responsible for identifying new service requirements to existing systems and services and providing input to service provider. The role also facilitates system strategy and risk management work in cooperation with key stakeholders.
Overall, as a System & Service Manager, you need to be able to combine technical expertise with service management, project management, and continuous improvement. You should be motivated to provide a high level of service to end-users and help them to achieve their business goals through the use of technology. You should also be able to manage technical professionals and projects effectively and efficiently.
Your main location will be in Kalundborg, in close proximity of the manufacturing sites. As a lot of our collaboration partners work around Copenhagen, it is expected that you will also travel to work in those locations.
The project is of great strategic importance to Novo Nordisk, which has high visibility and support from Senior Management. At the same time, you will have a foot inside Novo Nordisk’s IT organization which supports all major expansion projects as well as operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
- You hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. within IT, Engineering, or have other relevant experience from recent job(s).
- 2-5+ years of professional experience within IT Automation; either from operations and maintenance, or from project participation.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements.
- Experience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) preferred.
- Experience with Siemens PLC system SIMATIC S7 1500, TIA portal, ProfiNet, OPC UA, and HMI is preferred.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative.
- Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English.
