Your new role
In this role, you will transform complex, fuzzy human resource data into useable, deterministic insights that drive better decision-making across the organisation. You will work at the intersection of data science and people analytics, creating visualisations that help leaders make informed decisions while optimising employee management.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
- Acquiring, translating, and preparing data from multiple sources for analysis using ETL tools and processes
- Performing descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive data analysis to extract meaningful features from complex datasets
- Building clear, concise, and precise data visualisations that communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports that track key people metrics and support organisational decisions
- Collaborating with colleagues across the department to identify data-driven opportunities and solve real-world problems
- Applying academic knowledge to practical challenges, bridging theory and application in a global manufacturing environment
Working hours: Minimum 8 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your studies and exam periods. You can both work in office or be working from home.
Your new department
You will be a part of Novo Nordisk Insulin Manufacturing, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), and assigned to API People & Organisation. You will be joining a department of more than 50 highly skilled colleagues who support more than 4,500 employees with human resource-related opportunities and challenges. You will report directly to the Senior Director of P&O, and be part of an organisation that values creativity, innovation, and the ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a curious and driven student who is eager to apply complex concepts to real-world applications. You'll bring with you:
- Currently enrolled in an MSc programme within statistics, computer science, or data science
- Programming & Analytics: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), SQL
- Business Intelligence & Visualisation: Power BI, Tableau
- Data Preparation & ETL: Alteryx, Power Query
- Collaboration & Version Control: Git
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Cloud & Data Platforms (nice to have): Azure, Snowflake

Salary and Benefits: This position is hourly paid. For this position, the hourly base rate is 178,71 DKK, based on an assessment of relevant factors such as experience, educational background, demonstrated competencies, and the specific skills required for the position. In addition to the hourly base rate, Student Assistants are entitled to a pension scheme (currently 10% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution).
