The Position  
As a Senior Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive highly complex investment projects from early development and all the way to the handover. 

 

Some of your main tasks will be to:  

 

  • Proactively manage project cost, scope, time, risks and business impact through project lifecycle, the Novo Nordisk way and according to investment project governance 
  • Organise and lead multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure successful completion of all project deliverables through analysis, design and construction 
  • Effectively engage and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, securing alignment and clear decision-making, with enterprise value in mind 
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Line of Business, senior management and IPG (Investment Portfolio Group) 
  • Actively contribute to continuous development of project management function in alignment with evolving business needs

 

The job level will be determined based on the experience and qualifications of the ideal candidate. The job will be based in Kalundborg, Denmark, but some travel to our different global sites should be expected.  
 
Qualifications  
You have a proven track record of leading and delivering large and complex cross-functional (and possibly global) projects through development and execution. Preferably you have experience from pharma or other regulated industries (food science, life science or energy industry).  


To be successful in this position, we expect you to have:  

  •  A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or any other relevant field 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including at senior leadership level 
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams to achieve project goals 
  • Strong knowledge of project methodologies, tools and techniques 
  • PMP certification as well as other best practice certifications is an advantage 
  • English language proficiency 

 

On a personal level, you are proactive, self-driven and excel at driving projects within highly complex stakeholder set-ups, offering adept advisory and influencing skills at senior leadership levels, guiding projects to success despite conflicting interests. You have excellent negotiation and communication skills and ability to lead through crisis and high-pressure situations.
