The Position

As a Senior Process Scientist within cleaning, you will support getting the new equipment up and running and qualifying and validating the cleaning processes. You will have a high degree of responsibility, drive own tasks and mentor junior colleagues.

 

This position offers an exciting chance to collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders from various levels.

 

Active participation in a skilled user organization is integral part of this role, fostering collaboration with engineering partners and contractors while overseeing their activities.

 

Join us and become a key player in ensuring smooth transition into production and implementing best practises for following up on cleaning process performance and implementing improvements.

 

The main tasks will be to:
•    Participate in project activities such as Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT). Both mechanical and automation competencies are expected, preferably familiar with functional specification (FS).
•    Perform and contribute to strategies for testing and documentation (e.g. Riboflavin test, Cleaning Operational Verification (OV)).
•    Ensure validation of Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) of all process equipment (Cleaning Validation (CV)), including ownership of CIP specific processes.
•    Manage stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

The qualifications we value include having:
•    Minimum a bachelor’s degree in natural science.
•    At least 6 years of experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ideally Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing.
•    Knowledge and experience related to qualification and validation of CIP, and a solid understanding of unit operations, pharmaceutical cleaning processes and documentation.
•    A solid understanding of automation systems for production (PCS and MES), which is considered a plus.
•    Full professional proficiency in verbal and written English.

About the Department

We are a newly established purification department in Novo Nordisk API. We are qualifying and validating a new purification facility, together with numerous stakeholders. 

Our approach is innovative, stakeholder focused, and inclusive in everything we do. You will be part of the PPV Cleaning team with dedicated experienced and junior colleagues, where we take pride in collaboration, so we get access to all the knowledge and know-how that everyone in the team possesses. The Cleaning team bridges the project organized in PS API Expansions with the newly established PPV manufacturing organization. 

 

The area is anchored in Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT, which employs approximately 35,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 64,000 employees globally.
