The position
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our DeltaV applications while ensuring system stability. Your role will also involve providing support to our production team for system-related queries. Additionally, you will assist in implementing code changes, conducting required tests, and producing qualification documentation. Collaborating closely with colleagues across production, you will gain in-depth insights into the intricacies of our operational processes, fostering valuable experience within an ambitious environment where innovative ideas translate into tangible improvements for individuals' lives.
You will apply your problem-solving skills to offer systematic support for our production lines. Identifying root causes and initiating corrective and preventive measures swiftly during process variations will be a key part of your responsibilities. Given our 24/7 production schedule, your expertise may be required round the clock. Once acclimated with our setup, you will be part of the on-call duty rotation.
In addition to addressing maintenance tasks, you will immerse yourself in the complexities of automated FVII manufacturing, contributing to the continual maintenance of a stable production environment. Handling stakeholder requests and swiftly acquiring a comprehensive understanding of our setup will enable you to navigate the interconnectedness of systems, processes, and equipment, particularly when addressing variations or evaluating the impact of enhancements.

Qualifications
We seek candidates with an academic background in Automation Engineering or IT Development. Familiarity with DeltaV/PCS will be advantageous, and experience with virtual IT systems in daily operations will be valued. A technical inquisitiveness that allows for a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of a large-scale production setup is essential.
Irrespective of your background, a strong desire to acquire process knowledge and provide optimal solutions in collaboration with our production team is crucial. Proficiency in documentation according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules is pivotal. Experience with LEAN tools in a GMP environment will be beneficial, facilitating a smoother learning curve.
You should exude confidence in the solidity of your fact-based solutions and possess the ability to articulate your arguments effectively. Your proactive and positive nature, coupled with the capability to simplify and explain complex technical contexts to diverse colleagues, will be invaluable. About the Department
You will join the Digital, Data & IT organization which supports FVII plant in Kalundborg, where Active Ingredients for NovoSeven are cultivated and purified, helping people living with haemophilia. The IT and Automation team consist of 17 highly skilled and very committed colleagues. The team maintain the automation systems anchored around Syncade and DeltaV. Our processes are highly regulated as any quality deviation must be identified to mitigate any potential impact on our product. To prove our compliance, all our changes are validated and documented to meet all relevant requirements. We all share a dedication to achieve ambitious goals, and we have the track record to do it with confidence.
