The Position
As Scientific Academia Partner you will enhance the scientific interaction between Novo Nordisk, academia and students from the local Campus Kalundborg. There is a robust public-private partnership in Kalundborg including local companies and educational partners, collaborating to establish and develop a growing educational and research environment.
In this role, you will bridge scientists, leaders, and supervisors at Novo Nordisk with researchers, professors, and students at educational institutions. You will support the entire pipeline building from primary school to PhD, contributing to the vision of establishing Kalundborg as a leading hub for biomanufacturing and industrial sustainability education, research, and innovation by 2030.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a scientific expert on industrial and academia collaboration projects and cases (BSc, MSc, PhD)
- Foster liaison between industry supervisors and academic supervisors for academic/industrial collaborations
- Drive the network and provide support to colleagues acting as supervisors of student and thesis projects
- Identify talents and establish industrial and academia engagement
- Develop high-quality standards for industrial and academia collaboration projects
- Establish and maintain relationships with key scientific educational stakeholders

Qualifications
- Professional Experience collated from academia or academia/industry required.
- A PhD in engineering or natural science and deep knowledge of academic environment.
- Established network within Danish and international academic environment, and experience with supervising students.
- Experience driving large projects involving both academia and industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for best practices in academic research into industry and lifting the scientific level of an organization. Experience from life-science industry is considered a strong advantage.
- Professional English skills.
The perfect candidate has a strong academic background, a solid publication record, a global network of academic collaborators, good communication skills, and passion for scientific research, talent development, and change management.
About the department
Geographically anchored at our manufacturing facility in Kalundborg, you will become part of the department Business Development and Strategic Communications and the team responsible for Public Affairs and External Relations. Our main purpose is to deliver business-driven and value-adding public affairs and communication strategies and initiatives. Our primary external focus is on strategic business development - integrating strategic partnerships, public and government affairs, as well as branding and communication - supporting both operations and the execution of the 65bn DKK expansion projects, currently ongoing at Novo Nordisk Manufacturing Kalundborg. We are responsible for developing and driving strategic partnerships with national and international external public and private stakeholders on behalf of Novo Nordisk Manufacturing to support business strategy, within several agendas including academia partnerships to build a local pipeline of talents, and recruitment and branding to attract and retain talents.
