About the Position
As a Purification Specialist within our Purification Plan III department, you will play a key role in supporting the production of oral semaglutide, liraglutide, and icodec. Being a part of the management team, you will leverage your expertise to optimize processes, drive technology advancements, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Your key Responsibilities will include to:

Serve as a key decision-maker in collaboration with management for the strategic future of Purification Plant III

Act as key person for scoping optimizations within colums, spray drying and freeze drying.

Participate in performance board meetings and provide strategic input during management discussions.

Collaborate on projects across departments, offering coaching and support to project teams to drive successful outcomes.

Apply LEAN thinking principles to continuously improve operational efficiency within the processes, ensuring a focus on waste reduction and streamlined workflows.

Teach, mentor, and support newer or less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications
We expect you to have:

A relevant academic background.
-
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working with purification. Preferably experience with spray drying and/or freeze drying in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Strong interest and knowledge in LEAN principles and their application in enhancing manufacturing processes.

Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and global teams.

Fluency in spoken and written English

About the Department
In purification department PP-III, We are department of more than 100 people split into 5 teams. 2 teams running all production on Columns, one large team running our final steps, both freeze drying and Spray drying and 2 support teams that handles all relevant tasks support tasks to ensure our productions is running smooth and compliant.
As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) we responsible for manufacturing several types of products, handling all daily operations with a team of skilled international colleagues all working together to ensure that API is purified in a compliant process and in the right quality.
PP-III is the interface between fermentation & recovery, where the initial API is generated, and Product formulation, where the API is formulated into the final product for the patient. In Purification we play an important role in API manufacturing as we are responsible for generating the final API, purifying it to a high quality, and ensuring that the product is supplied to the next stage in the supply chain. We aim to be an innovative, social department that embraces change and diversity, and our ultimate goal is to be seen as the most reliable collaborator both internally in the department as well as externally towards all our colleagues in adjacent roles.
