Your new role
As Project Controller, you are directly responsible for project controlling activities in one or more investment projects. You act as a trusted sparring partner to project management, ensuring high‑quality cost control, reporting and decision support throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing financial decision support to Project Managers and steering committees through robust analysis and insights
- Driving project estimating, budgeting, forecasting and contingency management using well standardized processes
- Managing the monthly project closing process and ensuring sound accounting principles and governance
- Delivering high‑quality cost reporting and ad‑hoc analyses to support project and portfolio decisions
- Continuously improving project controlling processes, tools and standards in collaboration with key stakeholders
You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance and external vendors, contributing with project controlling disciplines.
Your new department
You will join M3 Business Support & Services, where we support large‑scale investment projects by providing strong financial governance, transparency and decision support. You will work closely with 18 employees of different backgrounds and team up with another skilled project controller. The team supports the purification plants with finance partnering, supply chain coordination, procurement, training, editors and document support. The department works closely with project organisations across Novo Nordisk and plays an important role in strengthening project execution, portfolio quality and best‑practice sharing across sites. Your base location will be in Kalundborg, with close collaboration across other Novo Nordisk sites.
Your skills and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you bring a solid financial foundation combined with strong project- and stakeholder management skills. We expect that you have:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar area
- Minimum 2 years of experience within project controlling, business controlling or engineering environments
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear management insights
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting and month‑end closing processes
- A proactive, structured and independent working style, with strong communication and skills
- Strong people and team collaboration skills
Experience with large investment projects and collaboration across finance, engineering and project teams will be considered an advantage.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 499,600 to 734,400, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
