The Position
As our Intern, you will join a dynamic, small team of 2-3 full-time professionals focused on keeping an overview of ongoing and upcoming projects. The process of identifying the next relevant project has several different approaches, ranging from dialogue with local management groups to running an ideation process with external partners to lift the innovation level of the organization.
A day in our team will vary from solving tasks on your own, to close collaboration and sparring with the responsible project managers and suppliers. Your main role will be to assist with the strategic initiatives that are run out of the department. Tasks in scope could include:
- Support the Project Portfolio Manager of the team by
- Aiding with following up on projects across the production area
- Supporting the preparation of project briefs
- Supporting on creation of steering group material
- Maintain and update the central database of information collected by
- Continuously going through the database to ensure that it is updated
- Completing the overview of manual interventions one-pagers
- Contribute to the development of new digital tools and/or analysis needed
- Support on innovation/ideation initiatives across the production area
- Supporting the development of our in-house innovation toolbox
- Supporting the facilitation of ideation processes with external partners
Practicalities:
- Internship Period: a full-time position for 5 months
- Working Hours: 37 hours/week (flexible regarding work hours)
- Preferred Start Date: 1st of February 2025 (flexible – to be agreed)
- Location: Kalundborg, Denmark (with the possibility of working from home)
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
- Internships are paid if your educational program allows it
As our Intern, you will get a hands-on learning experience in a broad variety of tasks and projects across innovation & design, robotics, manufacturing intelligence, digitalization, and automation. Learning through challenges to deliver strong and profound results with real business impact across the entire production site in Kalundborg.
Qualifications
You’re currently studying Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Production Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Design & Innovation; Product Development & Innovation; Chemical engineering; Data Science or related fields.
You are confident or curious about some of the following areas:
- Project management (scheduling, cost etc.)
- Lean and process optimisation
- Process mapping and visualisations
- Analysis of optimisation opportunities
- IT & Automation
- GMP experience and process understanding is very commendable
As a person you possess a drive to work independently, are not afraid to consult colleagues/experts, and can change track when findings show that it makes sense. Finally, you have a good sense of humour and enjoy working in an agile environment.
We expect candidates to be collaborative, thrive in a busy environment, and bring a can-do attitude. You work easily with IT applications such as Excel and PowerPoint and see challenges such as technical troubles or knowledge limitations as an opportunity to learn more. Excellent language skills in English are required.
About the department
You will be part of the Novo Nordisk Manufacturing hub in Kalundborg. Our 4,400 colleagues produce half of the world’s insulin. Together, we make a difference every day for more than 40 million people living with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
The team consists of several colleagues who provide daily support to the production. The main tasks of the team are to carry out strategic initiatives to innovate, automate, & improve production processes. The business area is enriched with many different international colleagues from all around the world.
