Your new role

As Procurement Project Manager, you will join API Procurement and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects that support operations, procurement excellence, sourcing activities, supplier management, process optimisation, and strategic business priorities. This is a highly visible role where you will engage with stakeholders ranging from technicians and specialists on the shop floor to senior leaders across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading complex procurement and business improvement projects from opportunity identification through implementation and benefit realisation.
• Acting as a trusted procurement partner for stakeholders across API, supporting sourcing activities, negotiations, supplier performance, and operational priorities.
• Driving procurement excellence initiatives, digitalisation projects, process improvements, and new ways of working.
• Managing a project portfolio with clear governance, status reporting, stakeholder alignment, and structured execution.
• Identifying new opportunities for value creation across cost, quality, risk, efficiency, compliance, and business performance
  
  Success in this role requires both structure and flexibility. You will often run several projects simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities with urgent operational needs. At the same time, you will have significant autonomy to shape your own portfolio and contribute ideas that can create long-term impact across the organisation.

Your new department

You will become part of API Procurement within API Finance & Procurement. The department consists of 14 highly engaged colleagues located across Kalundborg, Bagsværd, and Hillerød. While many colleagues support major expansion projects, this team focuses on strategic procurement initiatives, operational support, procurement excellence, and cross-functional project management. The team is known for its strong stakeholder relationships, collaborative culture, and hands-on business engagement. You will join an established network and work closely with experienced Procurement Managers and Project Managers who actively support each other’s success.

The role offers flexibility in terms of work location, with collaboration taking place across Kalundborg, Bagsværd, Hillerød, and Taastrup, combined with opportunities for hybrid working.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a structured and proactive project professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and can confidently navigate a broad stakeholder landscape.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

• A bachelor's or master's degree within Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience within project management, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, consulting, or a similar business-oriented function.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional projects and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or similar frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities, commercial understanding, stakeholder management skills, and professional fluency in English. Danish is considered an advantage but is not a requirement.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
