Process Supporter with academic background for insulin production / Fermentation

Do you have an academic background in biotechnology, chemical engineering or similar, and a flair for continuous improvement, and a desire to engage in meaningful work? Then, your contribution is needed to help Novo Nordisk to ensure a stable flow of insulin production at the world's largest insulin plant!

 

About your future department

Join a dynamic workplace at Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg - the world's largest insulin production plant - with a size corresponding to 156 football lanes. The Support Team, that you would be part of, consists of supporters with technical- as well as academic backgrounds. We are responsible for the process-flow involving the fermentation process, equipment, and machinery in the plant.

 

The position

Together with your colleagues, you will have the daily professional responsibility to address challenges and ensure a smooth manufacturing process. The position involves frequent support to ensure a stable and consistent production, and you will therefore benefit from the ability to maintain an overview of multiple tasks. As such, it is vital that you can prioritize the most important things first, ensuring that things are finished in time, and with a strong focus on quality. 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily operational support
  • GMP documentation
  • Implementation of continuous improvement
  • Work assignments (behind the desk and in production areas) such as process analysis and computer modelling
  •  Emergent and preemptive problem-solving on the production front


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related science area such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, applied physics, chemistry engineer or similar 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge about Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or Continuous improvement (Lean /Six Sigma) would be advantageous
  • Statistical knowledge or previous experience with python or Matlab would be advantageous
  • Fluent Danish and English
