At Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg, you’ll help bridge strong biotech manufacturing know-how with new and automated technologies—making a difference for millions of patients. We are looking for new Process Scientists/Engineers to support our transition from project to operation in a state-of-the-art API manufacturing environment.

 

Your new role

As an Process Scientist/Engineer, you will work hands-on with process understanding, monitoring, and continuous improvement in pharmaceutical production. You’ll combine scientific thinking with data-driven methods to help ensure stable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing performance as we ramp up and move into full operations.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive qualification and validation activities in line with GMP requirements
  • Drive process understanding by analysing large data sets to identify correlation/causation and translate insights into improvements.
  • Develop and maintain statistical process control and monitoring tools to support robust process performance.
  • Support deviation handling using a structured, science- and data-based approach to quantify and solve process issues.
  • Lead change requests and implementation of improvements, including validation activities when required.

Please note: there will be manufacturing, storage or handling of semi-finished or finished GLP‑1 products in the work location (building), regardless of whether you will directly handle the products.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We’re looking for candidates with a quality mindset, curiosity for process and technology, and the ability to work collaboratively in a regulated environment. Pharmaceutical and GMP experience is an advantage, and we expect most successful candidates will bring some relevant experience—however, we encourage motivated early-career profiles with strong fundamentals to apply.

To succeed, you typically have:

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD within pharma, chemistry, biotechnology, engineering or a related life-science field.
  • Experience (or strong interest) in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and how chemistry and equipment interact.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and working with deviations, investigations, and change control in a regulated setting.
  • Interest in digitalisation and data, e.g., BI tools, statistics, data analysis and/or programming (advantage).
  • You are fluent in English, and knowledge of Danish is considered an advantage and helpful for thriving in the local environment.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
