Process Engineer for production support

Then you can be one of our new process engineers for API manufacturing in Novo Nordisk.

 

About the department

As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Diabetes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is responsible for manufacturing all Insulin-based products. You will be assigned to Insulin Manufacturing 2 (IM2), the world’s largest Insulin API manufacturing facility located in Kalundborg. You will be employed in the department of Fermentation & Recovery, where a team of 31 skilled colleagues all working together to ensure that API is purified and released.

 

The department of Fermentation & Recovery is responsible for Upstream manufacturing and recovery of APIs. The team within Fermentation is responsible for fermentation technology The team manages the complexity of supporting, controlling and optimizing equipment for fermentation and associated utility systems.

 

The team within Recovery is responsible for separation technology for achieving API at a desired purity for downstream processing (Purification). The team manages the complexity of supporting, controlling and optimizing equipment for chromatography, reaction and solid-liquid separation.

Therefore, advanced data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders and recommendations for process improvements/-optimizations are crucial. Knowledge of equipment used for these production processes will be a great advantage.

 

The position

We are looking for someone who find motivation in supporting the production equipment and processes on a day-to-day basis to ensure a smooth operation. You enjoy developing and maintaining process monitoring systems, by analysing data and making sense of the data. Specifically, your task will be:

 

  • Handle problem solving in a systematic manner to eliminate problems completely
  • Analyse large amounts of data for extracting correlation and causation for process understanding
  • Use a data-based approach for quantifying process deviations
  • Use a team-based approach for recommending process improvements/-optimizations
  • Develop maintenance plans based on risk analysis

 

Depending on your experience, you will also be part-taking in product change over and optimisation projects.

This job gives you a great opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of bioprocessing across the organization, in close collaboration with teach-transfer and manufacturing in Novo Nordisk.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Preferably you hold a degree within a relevant engineering field. GMP experience is a definite advantage.
  • Understanding of how to convey complex information to varying audiences and thereby, explain the purpose to get everyone onboard and reach feasible applicable solution
  • You thrive being the go-to person within your field, and see yourself as a specialist-to-be
  • You can manage to stay positive in an environment, where priorities can change quickly
  • You find Interest in new technologies, as we are moving towards industry 4.0.
  • Can or willing to learn Danish
