The position is temporary and is time-limited for two years.

 

The Position

 

As a Process Engineer, you will be analysing and making sense of data, developing our fermentation, and maintaining process monitoring systems. 

 

The main tasks will be to:
•    Support and monitor the production process.
•    Support operators and technicians to ensure stable process performance.
•    Perform systematic problem solving when challenges occur.
•    Analyse a large amount of data to extract correlations and causations for process understanding.
•    Continuously improve the process, and it’s supporting systems, in terms of productivity and simplicity.
•    Use a data-based approach for quantifying deviations.
•    Use a team-based approach for recommending process optimizations.

 

Qualifications

 

To succeed in this role, you have: 
•    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or similar.
•    Internship or similar type of experience in manufacturing pharmaceutical or similar highly regulated industries is a plus. 
•    Knowledge of scientific principles required for manufacturing pharmaceutical API.
•    Knowledge of fermentation, data analysis and process systems, preferably experience with large-scale production is a plus.
•    Proficiency in written and spoken English.
•    Proficiency in written and spoken Danish in an advantage.

About the department

 

You will be part of a team of 15 highly dedicated process engineers and scientists. We value good collaboration with our colleagues and stakeholders and keep a good team spirit which is essential to have an inspiring working environment. We work daily with production and optimization of the processes with the aim of successfully supporting more patients around the world. Therefore, advanced data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders and recommendations for optimizations are crucial. You will be assigned to the world’s largest insulin factory - Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1), located in Kalundborg, the API Manufacturing Hub for Diabetes care at Novo Nordisk. As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is responsible for manufacturing all Insulin-based products. The API Manufacturing Hub is home to 4 Facilities and approximately 3000 employees so, network wise, you will have the opportunity to meet, interact and build relationships with diverse and skilled colleagues.
