Your New Role

As a Process Cleaning Engineer, you will become part of a major expansion project where you will help design, develop, validate, and implement best-in-class cleaning solutions for process equipment. Working closely with engineering partners, automation specialists, validation experts, and manufacturing stakeholders, you will ensure that cleaning processes meet both regulatory requirements and operational needs.

 

We are looking for several Process Cleaning Engineers and welcome applications from candidates with varying levels of experience. Whether you bring a strong background in cleaning validation and CIP activities or are looking to further develop your engineering career within a large-scale pharmaceutical project, this role offers exciting opportunities to make a tangible impact.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) activities across the project lifecycle, from design and commissioning through qualification and validation.
  • Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, engineering runs, riboflavin testing, verification activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Supporting validation activities and ensuring compliance with GMP requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, engineering partners, project teams, and manufacturing representatives.
  • Contributing to risk management, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development of future standards for cleaning processes within API manufacturing.

PS API Expansions is responsible for designing, planning, and delivering major API capacity expansion projects across Novo Nordisk. Our mission is to build flexible, future-ready production facilities that can support the needs of millions of patients around the world.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you most likely have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher within Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, or API manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes, process equipment, validation activities, and GMP documentation practices.
  • Experience with Cleaning-in-Place (CIP), cleaning validation, qualification activities, or process engineering, which will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English; Danish is considered a plus.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 DKK to 838,100 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
