The position

As an Operational Readiness Program Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless transition from the project phase to full operational readiness. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the Operational Readiness Program for PPV, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to relevant steering group meetings, utilizing performance management and LEAN methodologies to set system actions.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, project, and engineering teams to ensure the successful and timely execution of Operational Readiness activities.
  • Identifying and addressing discrepancies or delays, managing risks, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the leaders to ensure smooth transition to operation.
  • Maintaining close dialogue with key stakeholders, providing regular updates, and escalating major issues to ensure transparency and alignment.

 

You will be acting as a sparring partner to the VP and the management team, managing cross-departmental initiatives, and continuously ensuring that operational readiness programme and associated systems are effective and in alignment with project milestones and strategic aspirations. Having extensive operational experience enables you to effectively lead the organization from the project phase to operations.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Leadership experience within operations in a production environment, preferably with experience in executing major projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • A robust LEAN mindset with substantial experience in implementing and sustaining standards.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and effectively manage performance.

 

Furthermore, you possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You have a comprehensive and strategic understanding of business operations, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions that are aligned with the area's overall goals and objectives. Additionally, you can successfully lead change at various levels, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation within the organization.

 

About the department

As an Operational Readiness Program Manager, you will be part of a newly established production area transitioning from the project stage to the operational phase. The PPV Manufacturing Organization consists of 280 employees across 4 departments. Located in Denmark, we are dedicated to producing the future products of Novo Nordisk, playing a significant role in our social responsibility strategy. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality API at a competitive cost for our patients, contributing to the success of Novo Nordisk in crucial ways.
