The Position

As a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will join a highly skilled team in Insulin Manufacturing I, responsible for performing modelling and simulation of IM1 processes.

 

Some of the primary tasks will include providing technical support for tools such as Excel, PI, LMES, Alteryx, and Tableau. Additionally, performing data analysis, visualization, and task automation will be essential. Conducting capacity analysis of process systems using CAPS models and assisting the fermentation and recovery department with data collection and analysis are also key responsibilities.

 

The main tasks will be to: 
•    Extract, manage, and analyse data for reporting, documentation, and cause-effect analysis.
•    Comply with cGMP and relevant Novo Nordisk policies.
•    Support cross-functional projects for the implementation and optimisation of standards and processes.
•    Ensure clear, timely, and direct communication with stakeholders.
•    Participate in relevant projects and share best practices with colleagues.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:
•    A master’s degree in chemical and biochemical engineering.
•    Experience with modelling/simulation/digital twins, which is considered a plus.
•    Knowledge of Citrix for applications and familiarity with INOSIM and VBA coding, which is considered an advantage.
•    Full professional proficiency in written and verbal Danish and English. 

 

As a person, you have the ability to work independently and in teams. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this role. 

Having a proactive, flexible mindset with strong quality mindset and structured approach to reaching goals are key to succeed in this position.

 

About the Department

Insulin Manufacturing I (IM1) is one of the largest production sites in Novo Nordisk. More than 25% of the worlds combined supply of insulin is produced here. Our department Utility & Solvents consist of 75 employees whom handle supplies of raw materials and solvents for the production. The department is organised in several teams including a support team which main responsibility is the various process and utility plants that supply the 4 production lines of the factory. We are a team of 7 colleagues with a scientific background.

 

About Site Kalundborg

At Novo Nordisk manufacturing hub in Kalundborg, we are growing.
