Your new role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will become a key part of our Maintenance Team within Purification Plants M3. In this role, you will work at the intersection of operations, maintenance, and optimisation, helping to ensure high production stability in a highly regulated environment.
You will have a daily presence in the production areas, combining hands-on involvement with technical analysis and structured documentation. Collaboration is central to the role, as you will work closely with colleagues, production teams, and external partners.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Driving and participating in technical projects in close collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensuring operation and optimisation of mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, and flow systems
- Planning maintenance activities together with production and process support
- Working systematically with documentation and change management
- Contributing to continuous improvements in processes and technical stability
You are motivated by varied challenges and bring both a strong overview and an eye for detail. You thrive on being present in the factory and apply a “go-look-see” approach to understand and solve issues effectively.
Your new department
You will join Purification Plants Production Support (PPPS), a central support function within PP M3. Our employees cover a wide range of technical disciplines, including calibration, mechanical maintenance, HVAC, utility, automation & Permit.
Purification Plants consists of four purification factories and one spray dryer, where we purify active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) such as insulin and GLP-1. Our overall goal is to ensure a stable and efficient production process without unplanned downtime.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background who thrives in a role that combines analytical work with hands-on involvement in production.
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
- Hold a degree as a Mechanical Engineer or similar
- Have experience with operations, maintenance, or the process industry
- Have experience with CE marking
- Knowledge of GMP/ISO 9000 is an advantage
- Work systematically with problem-solving and preferably have experience with LEAN methodologies
- Possess strong collaboration and communication skills
Additionally, it is an advantage if you have experience with SAP and utility systems such as cooling, steam, and ventilation.

What we offer
Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 499,600 to 734,400, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
