The Position

As the new Manager, you will lead the Chemical Support team- a team of 17 talented Scientists and Laboratory Technicians.

 

The team is responsible for developing and transferring analytical methods to Quality Control and providing critical support to production. In addition, the team provides analytical support to production process optimization. You will report to the department director.

 

The main tasks will be to:

  • Ensure high-quality, efficient delivery of day-to-day analytical results.
  • Prioritize between team tasks and allocating resources effectively.
  • Support professional development and well-being of each team member.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Foster strong collaboration with stakeholders both within and outside the department.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Hold a degree in a Natural Sciences discipline.
  • Have managerial experience, preferably from a manufacturing company.
  • Possess knowledge of GMP or regulated areas.
  • Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.

 

As a person you are curious and keep the overview and positive mindset in challenging situations. You are good at planning, coordination, and execution of activities.

 

About the Department

Our department focuses on providing analytical support to Manufacturing Development optimisation projects and assisting with process and analytical development for new products, from fermentation to purified Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). Our department of 75 colleagues is divided into five specialised teams, focusing on chemical, biochemical, and biophysical analysis.
