Manager
Kalundborg, Region Zealand, DK
Step into a people‑focused leadership role where your decisions directly impact patients living with serious chronic diseases. You will lead an established production team through a period of growth, operational maturity and increasing production volumes – with safety, quality and continuous improvement at the heart of everything you do.
Your new role
As Team Leader in API Purification, you will take over a well‑functioning team of approximately 25 operators working in a two‑shift setup. With strong foundations already in place and a department in development, you will play a key role in shaping how we work tomorrow.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of approximately 25 operators across a two-shift setup, ensuring a safe, engaged and high-performing working environment
- Driving daily production performance within API purification
- Maturing and embedding LEAN ways of working, identifying improvement opportunities and bringing your team along on the journey
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS and quality standards in everything we do
- Collaborating closely with six fellow Team Leaders, the Production Director and colleagues across production and operations support
- Contributing to the continued development of the department as production scales up
- Acting as a visible role model for safety, quality and continuous improvement on the shop floor
Your new department
You will join API M1 – one of our showcase factories with around 650 colleagues, where the Purification area alone counts approximately 250 people across production and operations support. Reporting to the Production Director, you will be one of seven Team Leaders in production, working together to deliver on increasing volumes while continuously raising the bar on safety, quality and efficiency.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for an experienced leader who enjoys building strong teams and developing both people and processes in a GMP-regulated environment. You'll bring with you:
- Solid leadership experience from a pharmaceutical, biotech or other GMP-regulated production environment
- Hands-on experience with LEAN and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement
- Solid GMP knowledge and the ability to integrate compliance into daily operations
- EHS experience or a strong interest in taking on EHS responsibilities as part of the role is advantageous
- Strong people skills – you coach, develop and engage operators, build trust quickly and lead with clarity and care
- Fluency in English; Danish is an advantage given the on-site, shop-floor nature of the role
