Logistics Coordinator - API Expansion Projects

At Novo Nordisk, we develop and manufacture innovative treatments that improve the lives of millions of patients worldwide. As part of our major expansion of API manufacturing in Kalundborg, we are establishing new, highly automated and digitalised biotech facilities based on modern technologies.

We are now looking for a Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in the design and implementation of internal logistics solutions for our new factories.

The role

As Logistics Coordinator, you will act as responsible person for internal logistics during the design and execution phases of large greenfield projects. You will coordinate logistics solutions covering material flows, storage, staging, and internal transportation, ensuring alignment with production, quality, safety, and automation requirements.

You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across IT, Automation, Robotics, Process teams, raw material experts, project consultants, suppliers, and fellow logistics colleagues. Strong coordination, standardisation, and milestone focus are essential.

As the project progresses towards completion, the role will gradually shift towards planning and scheduling, ensuring the right materials, consumables, and intermediates are available at the right place and time to support efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive internal logistics design in large-scale factory projects
• Act as responsible person, from design through implementation
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, consultants, and suppliers
• Ensure solutions meet high standards for quality, safety, and operational simplicity
• Support planning and scheduling for production, purchasing, and material flows
• Secure timely implementation of logistics and warehouse solutions
• Develop and maintain process and system documentation

About you

You bring experience from complex pharmaceutical projects and thrive in cross-functional, project-driven environments. You are structured, proactive, and comfortable making decisions in a dynamic setting.

We expect that you:

• Have project management experience, preferably from pharma and greenfield projects
• Understand logistics processes and automated solutions
• Have experience with planning (production and/or purchase planning preferred)
• Are familiar with SAP business processes (SAP EWM or WMS rollout experience is a strong plus)
• Can document processes and system changes clearly
• Communicate confidently and can facilitate workshops
• Work analytically and independently while taking ownership
• Are detail-oriented and quality-focused
• Are fluent in English, written and spoken
