The position
As the Lead Solution Architect, you will lead projects of significant strategic importance to Novo Nordisk, with high visibility and strong support from Senior Management.
In this role, we expect you to collaborate with projects managers, architects, vendors and subject matter experts across multiple solutions and organizational areas. The role is pivotal in defining the IT and Automations solutions required to operate new facilities, and you will set the solution direction across different expansion projects.
Your main tasks will be to:

Drive standardization and compliance to Novo Nordisk application target architecture and reference model.

Act as subject matter expert within enterprise and manufacturing solutions for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production. Key systems used are: SAP ERP, SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse management), Manufacturing Executions System PAS-X, DCS (Distributed control systems) 800xa and Delta V, Transport fleet management system, different AGVs and industry robots, Labvantage LIMS system.

Guide dedicated team members to ensure oversight and offer direction for issue resolution, together with our engineering partner and other automation specialists.

Create, review, and approve documentation related to the design, operation, and validation of systems and you will be leading employees through coaching, mentoring, and training in a technical capacity.
Your primary location will be Kalundborg, with regular presence required at other API construction sites in Greater Copenhagen or with other stakeholders. Additionally, some travel may be required depending on the specific project needs.

Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced architect with a broad knowledge of IT and automation solutions, who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. You will have a proven track record in most of the following skills & experiences stated:

An academic degree in a relevant field (E.g. Software Engineering or Computer Science)

8+ years of experience with different IT and Automation and IT infrastructure solutions preferably 800xa or Delta V, Manufacturing Execution systems (MES), Embedded control systems (ECS) and Integrations (between systems and to equipment)

3+ years’ experience as a solution architect in large organisations

Preferable experience in change management and regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industries.

Experience from a large global company and are used to working with different cultures.

Ability to solve complex tasks in a structured way

You are able to perform stakeholder management at various organisational levels, including senior management teams

You have worked in a complex vendor setup. We want to work as one team and drive for joint results.

Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken is a requirement.
