The Position
As a LEAN Business Partner, you will be a coach and sparring partner for the department management and team leaders, where you will be an integrated member. Reporting directly to the department manager, you will be responsible for the department's LEAN systems and ongoing optimization work. You will have both a strategic view on change management and perform effective stakeholder management while being the leading driver to handle difficult problems for the department.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Driving LEAN Initiatives: Identify, develop, and drive new LEAN initiatives within the department and across the organization.
- Coaching & Training: Coach and train leaders and employees in LEAN production and behaviour.
- Project Management & Facilitation: Act as the key driver for creative processes, whether it's optimization and change projects across Purification Plants (PP) or local workshops and processes in the management group and among employees.
- Performance Management: Ensure effective and relevant performance management as part of daily operational follow-up.
You will gain a deep business understanding and extensive knowledge of management at Novo Nordisk through a broad organizational interface both in the department and with other LEAN partners across other departments. The right candidate balances strong communication skills with analytical abilities and achieves results through a recognizing and motivating approach to people.
Qualifications
We realize that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:
- A relevant academic education within a relevant field, such as production engineering, supply chain management, etc.
- Some experience in conducting in-depth analyses and translating complex concepts into common and understandable language, making sense for employees at all levels.
- Good skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- It would be beneficial if you have experience with LEAN production, LEAN management, performance management, systematic problem-solving, or project management.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
As a person, you are a data cruncher accustomed to working analytically and scientifically. You are empathetic and respectful, yet robust and assertive in challenging conditions. Others see you as independent, structured, and adept at creating relationships and building networks.
About the Department
PPIV consists of approximately 80 competent and dedicated colleagues who ensure the stable and efficient production of novel Insulins. On top of producing insulins, PPIV is currently executing a major investment project to allow production of the final step of a GLP-1 analogue. The department consists of 3 production teams and 2 support teams.
