The position
As a Junior Project Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for negotiating project resources with LoB management and manage these resources during project execution. Additionally, you will establish appropriate project governance together with the project owner, and report project performance to relevant stakeholders. You are also going to perform integrated change control on the projects, archive all key project data, close and evaluate the project, and ensure compliance with NN Quality Management System and PS Environmental, Health, and Safety Management system.
Moreover, your key tasks will include:
- Managing projects of low complexity and supporting projects of higher complexities.
- Direct project execution, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
- Create and develop project plans to drive clarity and order.
- Monitor and control project work to keep end-product within scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree with pharmaceutical manufacturing, engineering, natural science, or other relevant background e.g. within project management.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience within project management, ideally from the pharmaceutical industry or construction.
- Professional use of English in writing and verbally. Danish is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with project management tools and methods is considered a strong advantage.
- Understanding of the functional principle of a matrix organisation.
Moreover, we are looking for someone with the ability to “set direction” in projects in relation to the VP area’s business plans and strategies. You have good organisational understanding, including the opportunities and limitations of management in a matrix organisation. You possess diplomatic skills to find common ground between stakeholders, and you are able to work under pressure.
About the department
The Manufacturing 2 (M2) CVP area in Kalundborg is part of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) area in Novo Nordisk. The plant has seven different departments, with nearly 800 colleagues producing the core ingredient of many of the quality products we deliver to people living with diabetes and obesity around the world. The API M2 Projects and Strategy department is a newly established department with specialised employees focusing on project execution, project support, portfolio management, and strategy within a regulated pharmaceutical production area. We work in close collaboration across teams to make a difference for M2.
