The Position

As a system manager you are responsible for the operation of the IT- and automation systems used in the production plant.

Examples of typical tasks are:

  • Implementing changes to ensure effective operations and continuous compliance with authority expectations, IT-security requirements, GAMP5, GMP etc.
  • Writing and Approving change requests, test protocols and instructions
  • Contributing to incident management and systematic problem solving in an ITIL-framework
  • Executing quality activities such as risk assessments
  • Present the IT-systems during audits and inspections
  • Coordinate activities with different stakeholders such as maintenance and changes on the systems
  • Identify improvements and optimize processes by using cLEAN tools
  • Offer advice and consultancy to the IT- and automation supporters
  • Participate in projects where you ensure that new IT-systems meet User- and GMP- requirements.


About the department

You will join the IT Team in the Business Support department, Insulin Manufacturing 1 in Kalundborg, Denmark. We are approximately 75 colleagues in Business Support and support the plant with Environment, training and document handling, Supply chain, Finance, Project office and IT.

The IT team consist of 14 employees who run and maintain the production IT systems. The production IT systems consist of a PCS system (SattLine) and a MES system (LMES – Local Manufacturing Execution System) as well as several PLC systems.

We also maintain our IT platform for our automation systems. The team is organised by subjects: System management, IT support, PLC support. We cooperate closely with the automation support team, which performs the daily support and maintenance tasks related to the IT systems.



As our new colleague you fulfill several of the following bullets:


  • An MSc degree within Electrical Engineering, Automation or Computer Science or a BSc degree within the same subject areas supplemented by 1-2 years’ experience
  • An interest in working with- and develop skills in automation systems (MES, PCS, PLC, SCADA)
  • Understanding of how to convey complex information to varying audiences and thereby ensuring stakeholder buy-in
  • An appetite for solving complex problems to reach feasible applicable solutions
  • You have a strong quality mindset and analytical approach to challenges
  • Knowledge or experience with Service Now, ITIL is considered an advantage.
  • Communication skills in both written and spoken in English and Danish
