We are expanding to provide capacity to produce Novo Nordisk’s current and future oral and injectable products by establishing new and ground-breaking biotech facilities in Novo Nordisk Kalundborg.


We are designing and building a new and innovative large-scale manufacturing facility for purification of innovative pharmaceutical proteins to treat patients with serious chronic diseases. The facility will be constructed at our site in Kalundborg and will be built with state-of-the-art technologies for advanced use of robotics and automation.


The Position

As an IT coordinator/ project manager you will coordinate activities aligning two concurrent projects merging into existing operational framework.

Your responsibilities summed up

As new organisations are being established you will facilitate and coordinate activities on the user side making sure master data etc will be available for the internal organisations (Application Release Trains) that will cater for the new facilities.

You will have a good understanding of Master data, IT systems in general. Systems in scope are both at office desk level and at production/ lab shop floor level.


Your Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc degree within Electrical Engineering, Automation or Computer Science
  • Experience from a similar position
  • Interest in working with- and develop skills in automation systems (MES, DCS, PLC) or project management.
  • Understanding of how to convey complex information to varying audiences and thereby ensuring stakeholder buy-in
  • Appetite for solving complex problems to reach feasible applicable solutions
  • Strong quality mindset and analytical approach to challenges
  • Knowledge with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library - Service Now) is an advantage
  • Communication skills in both written and spoken in English.


About the department

You will join the IT/Automation team in the Business Support department, PPV purification project in Kalundborg, Denmark. We support the plant with Environment, training and document handling, Supply chain, Finance, Project office and IT.


The IT/Automation team consist of 17 employees who will implement, run and maintain the production IT systems. The production IT systems consist of a PCS system (800XA) and a MES/MOM system (PAS|X) as well as several PLC systems.


We will, once the plant is operational, also maintain our IT platform for our automation systems. The team is organised by subjects: System management, IT support, PLC support and automation support, which performs the daily support and maintenance tasks related to the IT systems.
