The position

As our new Head of Project Controls, you will be responsible for managing a growing team of highly dedicated professionals who aim to ensure timely and correct financials to support the direct project execution of a significant investment project.

 

Your day-to-day areas of responsibilities will include:

 

  • Overall responsibility for maturing, implementing, and executing a robust and integrated project controls infrastructure in the project, in line with the Novo Nordisk Project Execution Model and best practices from large-scale investment projects in the industry.
  • Providing Project Management and other stakeholders with reliable data and insights to monitor project performance and as a basis for informed project management decisions. This encompasses Planning and Scheduling, Cost Management, including Estimating and Budgeting, Risk Management, Scope, and Change Management, as well as Project Performance Management & Reporting.
  • Driving the continuous improvement of Project Controls data, indicators, and reporting in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You can look forward to being a valuable member of the Project Controls Management team and the day-to-day leader of a Project Controls department. Presence on site in Kalundborg is expected 2-3 days/week.

 

Qualifications

We imagine that a successful candidate has:

 

  • A master's degree or the equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration.
  • Some years of people management experience within Project Controls, Large Project Management or Finance, and ability to create high-performing teams.
  • Several years of combined project controls experience in major investment projects, e.g., as a planner, cost engineer, risk engineer or similar, as well as detailed knowledge of Project Controls disciplines.
  • Extensive experience working in complex projects in various roles including roles with project management responsibility, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industries.
  • Good working skills in English.

As a person, you are curious to learn and attentive to details. You are structured and work independently across a broad stakeholder landscape. Your structured approach allows you to maintain a broad overview while keeping an eye for the details. You have a flair for translating complex issues into communication easily absorbed by upper management.

 

About the department

In Product Supply Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (PS API) we produce the insulin and GLP-1, used to treat diabetes and obesity patients all over the world. Expanding our capacity to serve even more patients is rapidly transforming and expanding our sites and number of production facilities. Within PS API you will join the growing team of API Investment Project Office (IPO) supporting the largest construction projects across the API organisation. IPO consists of four separate teams and the culture is open, engaged, curious and inclusive.

 

We have 50 years of expertise in biotechnological production at Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg.
