Behind the Title 

As the Head of IT Operations, you will be responsible for IT operations at our two API manufacturing sites in Kalundborg. You will lead a dedicated IT organization that ensures 24/7 operational support, minimizing downtime and optimizing IT systems to support production efficiency. You will be a highly visible leader on the shopfloor, proactively engaging with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in IT service delivery. 

 

Your role will require strong strategic leadership and operational excellence to safeguard IT system compliance, security, and lifecycle management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders at both director and CVP levels to drive IT performance, enhance cross-site collaboration, and align with global IT strategies. 

 

Some of the responsibilities you can look forward to: 

  • Lead and develop a robust and agile IT support organization ensuring stable 24/7 operations. 
  • Drive IT security, risk management, and compliance across IT systems. 
  • Ensure high-performance IT service delivery, minimizing production downtime. 
  • Own and manage the lifecycle of IT systems anchored at the sites. 
  • Establish an effective problem-solving framework, support model, and escalation management. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies and technology upgrades. 
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across API, Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT), and external partners. 
  • Drive cross-site standardization and harmonization of IT processes. 

 

You will lead a team of IT professionals responsible for ensuring operational excellence at the production sites and report to the Director of DD&IT Product Supply API. 

 

Your Qualifications 

To be successful in this role, we envision you have: 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT leadership, project/program management, or similar roles. 
  • Extensive knowledge of IT and automation systems.  
  • Proven ability to manage complex tasks, cross-organizational collaboration, and large-scale IT operations. 
  • Experience with IT security, risk management, and compliance, preferably in a GxP-regulated environment. 
  • Experience with LEAN management, continuous improvement initiatives, and IT system lifecycle management. 
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical industry will be an advantage.  
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Danish will be a plus.
