Join us as Finance Buisness Partner, where you will collaborate closely with project leaders and the project portfolio manager to ensure transparency, value based decisions, and strong financial governance across a growing portfolio.
Your new role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting project management and portfolio leadership with financial insights as the financial compass guiding business decisions and upholding financial compliance. Further, you will ensure high-quality financial processes and play a driving role in continuously improving tools and processes across investment projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a trusted financial sparring partner to project managers by translating project plans into clear financial insights, analysis, and decision support
- Prepare and support business cases with a strong RoI mindset.
- Support in preparing leadership-ready presentations for IO M2 Investment Group and Steering Groups.
- Lead the monthly cost review process and challenge project managers on variances and actions.
- Ensure strong understanding of the financial impact of CAPEX and OPEX; drive the accrual process, including validation and posting of journal entries.
- Drive timely project closure and capitalization activities.
- Driving budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes across investment projects, ensuring transparency and accuracy
- Identify opportunities to optimise financial processes to improve project performance across the portfolio
- Prepare, maintain, and update required guidelines and documentation.
- Strong system knowledge, including SAP, Coupa and Clarity and intermediate/advanced Excel and power point skills.
Your new department
You will join the API IO M2 Projects and Strategy area, where we manage a portfolio of investment projects. The department plays a critical role in maturing and executing investment projects. You will work closely with project managers, investment finance partners, and portfolio stakeholders in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment. The team is focused on continuous improvement, ensuring efficient project delivery while supporting business growth.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for an experienced, proactive and analytical finance professional who thrives in a project-driven environment who can set financial direction and communicate complex financial topics with clarity.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience within project controlling, project controls, business controlling, or a similar finance role
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decision-making
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- The desire and ability to take lead on financial compliance and decisions

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
