The position 

As Facility Project Manager, your role entails planning and executing facility and infrastructure related projects in collaboration with the Facility WPO (Work Package Owner). You will oversee projects spanning:  

  • Facility – Design and Construction of the Facility. 

  • NN Stakeholder deliverables. 

  • Liaison with internal and external infrastructure projects. 

You will closely collaborate with other WPO’s and engage with the engineering partner and contractors. Furthermore, your role involves regular interaction with various disciplines, stakeholders, and QA professionals daily. 

  

Your main activities encompass: 

  • Aligning project scope with user requirements and stakeholder expectations. 

  • Developing comprehensive plans and optimising performance through progress monitoring, priority aligning, roadblocks removal, and issue escalation. 

  • Ensuring adherence to time-plans and budgets, providing regular reports on their status. 

  • Fostering effective collaboration among project teams, vendors, and consultants. 

  

Your work package will evolve over time to encompass design, execute design reviews, review construction and quality control onsite, and participate in commissioning to ensure best in class solutions and quality level are achieved. After successful acceptance and validation, you work with the team to ensure smooth transition of all systems into operation, including handover to the facility team from Line of Business. 

 

Qualifications 

To be successful in this role, we imagine you have: 

  • At least bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 

  • Hands on experience in managing construction projects or operating facilities 

  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing complex technical projects and have proven project management experience. 

  • An organized approach to tasks, a willingness to learn and the ability to thrive within a project department 

  • Proficiency in both written and verbal English. Also, it would be advantageous if you are fluent in Danish.

Your proficiency extends to navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, coupled with a knack for analysing and understanding intricate structures and systems. Your exceptional communications skills enable you to effectively convey ideas with clarity and confidence. Lastly, you are a dedicated team player, committed to enhancing team performance while maintaining high work quality. 

  

About the department 

We are part of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Expansions, who manages CapEx projects across Novo Nordisk. In New Warehouse Hub Kalundborg, we are responsible for implementing new internal warehouse capacity to meet future demand. This includes building a new raw material warehouse (greenfield) in Kalundborg. While our department operates in both Kalundborg and Hillerød, this position will primarily focus on activities based in Kalundborg.
