Project Manager for expanding insulin manufacturing plant

The department

Diabetes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (DAPI) is the Novo Nordisk area where the backbone of our products is manufactured and made ready to turn into life-changing medicine. We drive the projects that define our future production setup and coordinate all the cross-department activities involved in scaling our plant to accommodate growing business needs. This includes scaling, adjusting to future standards, creating more flexibility, implementing digital solutions and of course optimisations. By improving existing processes and analytical methods, we lead complex, cross-organisational optimisation projects that cut costs, expand production capacity, and improve the quality of our finished products.

 

The Project Team in IM2 consist of project managers, coordinators, and assistants. Together we are responsible of strategic projects, that develop new manufacturing standards defining the future production in Novo Nordisk.

Our overall challenge is to execute diverse projects in a complex, constantly growing and highly regulated area. We qualify, drive and facilitate the execution and implementation of both small and large investment projects.

 

Job & responsibilities

  • Execute projects
  • Ensure that the projects comply with the agreed governance in the area
  • Manage the staffing of our project organization with relevant competencies
  • Provide project related communication to stakeholders

 

You will also participate in prioritizing what projects to focus on and have a big impact on the strategy and direction of our area. This is a great opportunity for you who are passionate about project management and has the ambition to use your scientific knowledge and develop your project management skills in a growing and changing environment. The position and level of responsibility can be adjusted depending on experience and seniority.

 

Qualifications

  • MSc degree in chemical engineering, microbiology, engineer, or other relevant background
  • A track record of project management with results from at least three years of experience managing cross-organisational projects with high levels of complexity
  • production or finished products
  • Good understanding of process challenge, process justification tools, process performance qualification
  • Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken
