Your new role

As an Equipment Responsible, you will be responsible for the technical performance, compliance, and lifecycle management of Black utility systems supporting manufacturing operations. You will serve as a key technical owner, connecting multiple disciplines and ensuring reliable, compliant, and sustainable utility operations.

Initially, a significant part of your work will focus on project activities, supporting equipment handover, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness. As the organisation transitions from project execution to daily operations, you will become a key contributor to the long-term reliability and performance of the facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking technical ownership of utility systems and ensuring they remain compliant, qualified, and fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle.
• Supporting commissioning, qualification, verification, equipment handover, and start-up activities to ensure a smooth transition from project to operations.
• Maintaining technical documentation, specifications, lifecycle plans, and ensuring documentation remains inspection and audit ready.
• Driving technical troubleshooting, SPS activities, and structured problem-solving to improve reliability and operational performance.
• Supporting GMP-related activities including deviations, change requests, investigations, risk assessments, audits, and inspections.

Success in this role requires a proactive approach, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to balance operational priorities with technical and compliance requirements. You will work closely with colleagues across Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Automation, Process Support, Engineering, and the project organisation.

The utility portfolio includes systems related to Chilled Water, Heating Water, Compressed Air, Steam & Condensate, District Cooling, Process Ventilation, Vacuum Systems, Exhaust Systems, and Waste Systems.

Your new department

You will join the Black Utility team in Kalundborg, supporting one of Novo Nordisk's largest production investment projects.

The team is responsible for utility systems that underpin production and ensure stable supply to manufacturing operations. Combining engineering expertise, operational excellence, and strong collaboration, the department plays a vital role in establishing the future production infrastructure of Novo Nordisk.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a strong sense of ownership and professionalism. You are motivated by making a difference, enjoy taking responsibility, and are committed to delivering high-quality results in a regulated and complex environment.

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:

• A relevant technical degree such as Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Process Engineer, Automation Engineer, or a similar engineering background. However, we are open to other educational backgrounds as well.
• Experience working within GMP-regulated environments and a strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and quality requirements.
• Experience supporting technical equipment, utility systems, manufacturing operations, or process facilities.
• Experience with qualification, validation, commissioning, or project execution activities is considered an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.

What we offer

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600 to 734,400 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
