Do you have a background in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or similar, and a flair for continuous improvement, and a desire to engage in meaningful work? — Then, your contribution is needed to help Novo Nordisk to ensure a stable flow of insulin production at the world’s largest insulin plant!


About your future department

Join a dynamic workplace at Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg – the world’s largest insulin production plant – with a size corresponding to 156 football lanes. The Support Team, that you would be part of, consists of supporters with technical- as well as academic backgrounds. We are responsible for the process flow involving the fermentation process, equipment, and machinery in the plant.


The position

Together with your colleagues, you will have the daily professional responsibility to address challenges, and ensure a smooth manufacturing process. The position involves frequent support to ensure a stable and consistent production, and you will therefore benefit from the ability to maintain an overview of multiple tasks. As such, it is vital that you can prioritize the most important things first, ensuring that things are finished in time, and with a strong focus on quality.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily operational support
  • GMP documentation
  • Implementation of continuous improvement
  • Planning the maintenance of the equipment and its optimisation
  • Solving potential issues and errors on productions before they arise
  • Working closely with risk and safety standards and procedures



  • Master or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or other engineering field
  • GMP experience or former experience from production, or within maintenance of the equipment is beneficial, but not necessary
  • You have an eye on details and are quality oriented
  • Fluent in Danish and English


On a personal level, you are a proactive individual who enjoys completing tasks in a busy environment, and are structured in your way of working. What’s more, you must be able to set the tone on multiple tasks and adjust your communication to the receiver skilfully. Last but not least a can-do attitude is necessary to engage fully in an environment where priorities can change quickly.
