The Position
As a Cleaning Scientist, you will join the team that provides support to Diabetes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient's (DAPI’s) production departments within the areas: process optimisation, troubleshooting and daily operations.
As we support the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production, you will contribute to continuous stable operations and quality in the production of marketed insulin and GLP-1 analogues.
Since the job is largely self-organised, it is very important to prioritise work assignments. Also, our team members are comfortable working in a changing work environment.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
• A min. bachelor’s degree in natural science or a similar field.
• Strong experience with processes in a highly regulated production area.
• A deep understanding of legislative and quality demands.
• Experience within the areas of GMP, Projects, Qualification/Validation and LEAN, which will be considered an advantage.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken Danish and English.

Being ready to take on responsibility, knowledge and experience are conveyed with a steady hand.
Occasionally, expertise is needed in production or other parts of the organization, requiring communicative skills to explain complex problems to colleagues with diverse backgrounds.

About the Department
Insulin Manufacturing I (IM1) is one of the largest production sites in Novo Nordisk. More than 25% of the worlds combined supply of insulin is produced here. Our department Utility & Solvents consist of 75 employees whom handle supplies of raw materials and solvents for the production. The department is organised in several teams including a support team which main responsibility is the various process and utility plants that supply the 4 production lines of the factory. We are a team of 7 colleagues with a scientific background.
About Site Kalundborg
At Novo Nordisk manufacturing hub in Kalundborg, we are growing. From 2022-2029 we will invest 60 billion DKK to expand existing facilities for the current and future portfolio within serious chronic diseases. This will establish additional capacity across the entire global value chain from manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) to packaging, with the vast majority being invested in API capacity.
