About the department
In Insulin Manufacturing 2 (IM2), we produce the core ingredients in Novo Nordisk products and looking ahead 4- 5 years, IM2 will have the world´s largest fermentation plant. In the automation team you will work together with automation supporters and system managers to handle all the support needs of the line 24-7. We spend time on shop floor support, building relations and making sure that we understand the reality of the actual production – from operators and skilled workers to specialist and technicians. Whenever an issue arises – and preferably before – we participate in the problem solving and the development of corrective and preventive measures that will allow the production to continue.


About the position
As our new Automation Technician’s or PLC Technician’s, you will in collaboration with colleagues ensure that technically relevant solutions are developed to the best of your abilities and implemented according to written procedure and relevant document and test are updated and meets the current GMP requirements. Part of your job is also to participate in daily maintenance and optimization of the systems and supports the production. Furthermore, you will also participate in cross-organizational working groups as well training other employees in Novo Nordisk. 

Novo Nordisk uses Sattline or Procos as the current PCS system and primarily PLC’s from Siemens but knowledge of other DCS systems or PLC will only be an advantage

Most importantly, you are passionate about system management, automation and procedures.

To be successful in these roles we expect you to have:
•    Relevant education within IT, automation, engineering, computer scientist, electronical technician, mechanist or similar relevant background
•    Experience with GMP / GDP in connection with testing and reporting (or experience from other companies with a high degree of regulation), or willingness of learning.
•    Knowledge of control systems and / or automation
•    General knowledge of IT systems, including MS_Server and DCS systems.
•    Knowledge of DCS/PCS-systems from ABB (Sattline or 800xA) and Siemens (PLC)  or Procos from CGI is an advantage. Knowledge of other DCS/PCS could also be relevant.
•    You need to be proficient in both written and spoken English.


These roles requires your visibility and presence, including great skills within collaboration and communication as you will work in close cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that you have all the information and business insight you need for your daily work.

You will also need to be ready for change, innovative, flexible and result orientated as well as being able to make decisions independently. In general, you create trustful relations, thrive in the exchange of knowledge and are a good listener.
