The position
You have an unparalleled opportunity to join us at the final stages of building a new manufacturing site in Kalundborg, Denmark. As an Automation Engineer, you will secure the implementation, operation, and optimization of automation systems such as DCS, PLC and MES. In PPV (Purification Plan V) we are implementing the DCS system 800xA from ABB, the latest PLC technology from Siemens and being the front runners for the new MES system at Novo, so called PAS-X.
During the project phase you will review documentation and be part of testing the solutions while leveraging the knowledge needed to later have higher responsibilities over these systems. You will work closely with our production area, our external partners, and with the different teams across our entire organization. Furthermore, you will help ensure that the selected system that you are focused on is integrated with other systems, instruments, processes and fully in compliance with GMP requirements.
When we move into operations our team will be the first line of defence for Automation systems (DCS, PLC and MES), being responsible for operations according to design, troubleshooting and ensuring its continuous improvement.
PPV is a major project for enabling Novo Nordisk’s supply of insulin and other vital medicines to our patients, which means a long-term investment in our people as well as the facility.
You will be working onsite in Kalundborg. Travelling could be expected on spot basis (a few days a year).
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive team player to be our new colleague, a person who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
- You hold a M.Sc., B.Sc., or technician degree within Engineering, IT or have other relevant experience from recent job(s)
- You have at least a year of professional experience within Automation (within DCS or MES is a big plus)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and GMP requirements, experience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) preferred.
- English fluency is a must, as we are an international team. Danish is the preferred language particularly when working close production, therefore a huge plus.
