Curious Automation Engineer to support DeltaV

Your new role
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring stable and optimised automation systems supporting our production. You will work closely with colleagues across production to understand processes deeply and contribute to continuous improvements.
 
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising DeltaV PCS applications
  • Supporting production during deviations, contributing to root cause analysis and CAPA activities
  • Implementing code changes, executing tests, and producing qualification documentation
  • Supporting and maintaining Syncade MES interfaces and related systems
  • Handling stakeholder requests and navigating interconnected systems, equipment, and processes
  • Contributing to ongoing improvements and ensuring stable operations
  • Participating in maintenance activities to support day-to-day production stability
 
As you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to larger projects such as Syncade upgrades and DeltaV migrations.
 
 
Your new department
You will join a production department in Kalundborg responsible for manufacturing Factor VII. The department operates complex, highly automated production processes in a GMP environment.
You will be part of a skilled IT & Automation team of nine dedicated engineers and technicians working with DeltaV PCS and Syncade MES systems. The team has a strong culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support, where continuous learning is part of everyday work.
 
 
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who combines technical curiosity with a strong willingness to learn and collaborate.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • An academic background within engineering, automation, or IT (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Knowledge or experience with PCS, SCADA, or similar automation systems
  • An understanding of IT systems in a production or operational context
  • Interest in complex production setups and automated manufacturing
  • A structured mindset and ability to work with GMP documentation
 
It is considered an advantage if you have:
  • Experience with LEAN tools or problem-solving in a GMP environment
  • Exposure to MES systems such as Syncade

  • Communicate complex technical topics in a clear and simple way
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and seniority levels
  • Take ownership and drive solutions based on facts and data

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600 to 838,100 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
