The Position

As an Associate Process Scientist, you’ll collaborate closely with both Chemists and Laboratory Technicians within the department, taking responsibility for the chemical analysis of our products. This role offers you an exciting and varied workday, where you’ll have the autonomy to influence your work and the responsibility to help the team achieve its goals. You can develop a strong network within Novo Nordisk and grow both professionally and personally.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing one or more chemical analyses at any given time.

  • Leading small improvement projects within the department.

  • Performing compliance-related tasks, including updating instructions and offering daily support to laboratories.

  • Assisting Laboratory Technicians in their day-to-day operations, ensuring analytical performance and equipment meet industry standards.

 

The position is temporary for a period of 1 year.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

 

•    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural sciences, engineering, pharmacology, or a related field.
•    Ideally, you will also have experience processing large volumes of data, driving continuous improvement, and working with chemical analysis in a pharmaceutical laboratory or other GMP-regulated environments.
•    Fluency in both written and spoken Danish is required for this position.

You are able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. About the Department

In Diabetes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), located in Kalundborg, we produce insulin and GLP-1 to help people living with chronical diseases like diabetes and obesity. We always have many exciting projects across Novo Nordisk - some require entirely new setups to utilize the opportunities in contemporary technology, while other are more focused on optimizing existing setups. 
In Purification Plants (PP) in Kalundborg we produce the active ingredients which are in many of Novo Nordisk’s products.
