The Position
The position requires a high degree of independence and a strong desire to support and improve processes in our media production. As an Associate Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our operations.
Your responsibilities will include professional oversight of various media production processes, such as raw materials, formulation, sterilization, documentation, batch release, and equipment management, particularly our autoclaves and water facilities. You will support stakeholders by providing your expertise and solutions, ensuring that production remains stable and meets quality standards.
You will be also expected to:
• Provide proactive support to ensure optimal equipment performance and output quality.
• Develop, plan, and execute projects within the team while contributing feedback and insights to departmental initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing optimization of existing processes and equipment, fostering a culture of curiosity about the workflows of other teams and departments.
• Challenge existing processes constructively and respectfully, encouraging innovation and improvement.
• Serve as a professional mentor for colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting their development.

Qualifications
We would like the ideal candidate to:
• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Natural Science or Engineering.
• Have experience or understanding of GMP.
• Be fluent in Danish and English.

About the Department
The department Insulin API Manufacturing (IM2) Quality Control (QC) Laboratory is located in Kalundborg and supports several productions. In addition to performing chemical, biochemical and microbiological analysis we also have our own equipment team and media production. In our media production we produce media for laboratory analysis and production in Product/ Process Supply (PS) Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).
We are approx. 120 highly dedicated employees, divided into 9 teams, and we are looking for an employee for the media production, a team with highly competent and experienced members. In the team we have a production, handling everything from raw materials for formulation to batch release and shipping media to our customers.
