The position
As Associate Manager for the operators in a purification manufacturing facility, your primary role will be to build the team from the initial phase of the project and into operation. You will lead employees in your team and set direction. You will manage your team based on respect and humility and strongly focus on their personal development.
You will support your employees through sparring and decision-making, prioritization and removal of roadblocks. You will ensure that the right competencies are available, and developed and you will be hiring employees according to the needs defined in the ramp-up plans for the upcoming facility.
Collaboration internally with other line managers, project managers, and employees in other parts of the project organization and our sister project is an essential part of your job.
The new facility is currently being designed by other teams in the purification organization. Some sections are already under construction and soon process equipment will be tested. The team will be the first operational part of the purification facility and will contain the employees operating the new facility.

 

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you:
•    Have a relevant academic degree e.g., within engineering or relevant experience from managing an operator team. You have ideally worked within the medical and/or pharma industry and have a solid understanding of GMP.
•    Have more than 3 years of management experience eg. in manufacturing or other relevant areas.
•    Are a strong people manager and lead through respect and humility. You have a strong focus on ensuring an ongoing dialogue with your employees to drive performance and development of the individual and the organization.
•    Thrive in a busy and changing environment and have a strong ability to establish a common overview for your team and tasks.
Your natural curiosity will be crucial to your success, as will your skills in coordinating and collaborating efficiently throughout the organization. You have a solid understanding of people management and relevant process knowledge and it comes naturally for you to set direction in your daily work. As a person, you are motivated by working in a dynamic and developing environment, where there is a constant focus on improving. You have a constructive approach to problem-solving and focus on finding sustainable solutions together with your colleagues while building a solid culture in the new team.

 

About the Department
We are expanding to increase production of Novo Nordisk’s current and future oral and injectable products by establishing new and ground-breaking biotech facilities in Kalundborg. We embrace new technologies and we’re building a purification factory with a strong focus on digitalization, automation, and robotics. All teams will continue to expand over the coming years. You will be collaborating closely with colleagues with backgrounds in chemistry, engineering, project management, automation, and facility planning.
