About the Position 

As a Purification Specialist within our Purification department in API Manufacturing 1 (M1), you will play a key role in supporting the production of strategically important products. As part of the management team, you will leverage your expertise to optimize processes, drive technological advancements, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

 

Your key Responsibilities will include to: 

 

  • Serve as a key decision-maker in collaboration with management for the strategic future of M1 Purification 
  • Act as key person for scoping optimization opportunities across our API processes, including HPLC, chemical modification, UF/DF, centrifugation, and freeze-drying.
  • Apply LEAN thinking principles to continuously improve operational efficiency within the processes, ensuring a focus on waste reduction and streamlined workflows. 
  • Teach, mentor, and support newer or less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department. 
  • Participate in performance board meetings and management meetings and provide strategic input during management discussions. 
  • Collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes

 

 

Qualifications 

 

We expect you to have: 

 

  • A relevant academic background. 
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working with purification processes. 
  • Strong interest and knowledge in LEAN principles and their application in enhancing manufacturing processes. 
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and global teams. 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

About the Department 

 

M1 Purification, we are a team of more than 250 people, organized across five support teams and a production department comprising seven production teams. Together, we are responsible for operating two production lines that produce strategically important products for Novo Nordisk.

 

We ensure that purification operations run efficiently, safely, and fully in line with applicable requirements. Our support teams play a critical role by taking ownership of all relevant support tasks - enabling smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring that production teams can deliver consistently. In addition, we continuously improve by driving both routine enhancements and larger improvement projects that increase output and strengthen process performance, stability, and compliance.

 

API Manufacturing, as part of Global Manufacturing & Supply, manufactures several product types and manages daily operations with our skilled international team—ensuring that APIs are purified in a compliant manner and to the required quality. In Purification, we generate the final API, purify it to a high standard, and ensure it is delivered to the next stage in the supply chain. Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,091,600 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
