We are seeking a recognized subject matter expert in Safety, Chemistry, and Enzymes to serve as the organization’s primary authority on chemical and enzyme safety. In this SME role, you will provide advanced guidance, develop best practices, and act as a strategic advisor to cross-functional teams, ensuring our operations meet and exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses related to chemical processes, enzyme handling, and supplement production.
- Developing and implementing safety protocols and procedures specific to chemistry, enzymes, and supplement processing.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into all aspects of operations.
- Providing training and guidance to personnel on safe chemical handling, enzyme usage, and supplement production protocols.
- Keeping abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements to continuously improve safety standards in chemistry, enzymes, and supplement processing.
- Developing safety data sheets (SDS) and material attributes (MA) documentation.
- Reporting to authorities regarding chemical handling, enzyme usage and GMO use for example REACH related information.
Your new department
You will be a part of the NNPR´s Business Support department, where the Health & Safety team is a key cornerstone in securing a safe working environment at NNPR. The team consists of 12 employees including you. We work diligently to support NNPR embracing diversity and inclusion, whilst focusing on having a fun and encouraging a curious working environment.

Your skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s in chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field is required with 5+ years’ experience with relevant work ideally from a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical production
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards pertaining to chemical, enzyme, and safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills within both Danish and English
- Ability to negotiate the right solutions with our business needs, and an interest in both strategic and hands-on tasks.
