The position 

As a Manager at Novo Nordisk, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in an environment fuelled by curiosity and scientific understanding. 

 

You will work from Køge, with the occasional opportunity to work from home and you will: 

 

  • Lead a team of Scientists and Specialists of varying seniority within Analytical Development, Process Development, and Raw Materials. 

  • Set the direction for the team by ensuring prioritisation and execution of strategies, enabling the team to maintain an overview and focus on key deliverables. 

  • Collaborate with and become part of the management team to define and execute the team’s strategy and direction. 

  • Drive the development of employees and the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring psychological safety. 

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including Research, Production, QC, QA, and Contract Manufacturing, to enhance internal and cross-functional collaboration. 

  • Oversee the development of new products and the optimisation and troubleshooting of existing products. 

 

Qualifications 

We are looking for a candidate who has: 

  • Solid leadership experience within a pharmaceutical company, particularly in manufacturing development, manufacturing science and technology (MSAT), or CMC. 

  • A proven track record of leading employees with varying levels of seniority. 

  • Strong experience navigating a complex and cross-functional stakeholder landscape.  

  • Knowledge and/or experience working in an GMP environment and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical development field is an advantage. 

  • A relevant academic degree in Life Sciences, such as Engineering, Chemistry, or Pharmacy. 

  • Professional proficiency in English. 

You have a 'can do' attitude, embracing learning, and wanting to succeed together with your team supporting the entire department and the people around you. 

 

About the department 

The Manufacturing Development department at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S is a dynamic and innovative department of 40 dedicated employees, split into three teams, soon divided into four. As the Manager of one of the Development teams, you will lead 10 full-time employees. 

We work closely with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used in the treatment of various conditions, as well as process enzymes crucial for bioprocessing of established and emerging therapeutic modalities. 

The atmosphere in the department is relaxed and creative. We value good team spirit which is essential to maintain an inspiring working environment where we can grow and develop as individuals while ensuring a good work-life balance. 

We are part of R&D, which consists of 70 employees in total, and we take pride in fostering collaboration and innovation to deliver life-changing solutions.
