Novo Nordisk Pharmatech is looking for a scientist to support development of new and existing cleaning processes in our production. The position 
As Cleaning Development Scientist, you can explore a variety of activities within your job. You will design and conduct experiments to develop and troubleshoot on our cleaning processes for our existing and new products. You will work independently and collaborate cross-functionally across our entire organisation.
 
You will have a chance to: 
•    Take responsibility for studies to support development of cleaning methods and drive the technology transfer activities to large-scale manufacturing.
•    Conduct relevant cleanability studies in our R&D laboratory, supporting cleaning process optimization and innovative cleaning solutions.
•    Stay updated on the newest technology within cleaning processes in relation to production processes.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders in production, support, supply chain, EHS, R&D Research and our customers.
•    Plan and conduct experiments by yourself and together with our laboratory technicians in the laboratory.
•    Set the direction for cleaning processes across Novo Nordisk Pharmatech.

Qualifications
You are a skilled scientist with several years of laboratory experience in protein and/or organic chemistry from academia or pharma industry. Experience with manufacturing development and cleaning process development is an advantage.

 

Some of the qualities we look for are:
•    Minimum a M.Sc. or PhD in Organic Chemistry, protein chemistry, chemical engineer or another relevant field within Natural Science.
•    Hands-on experience in cleanability studies, degradation studies or carryover limit calculations, is considered a major advantage.
•    Hands-on experience with working in the laboratory and a drive to do experiments yourself.
•    You are skilled at translating your ideas into experiments and writing protocols after which lab technicians can easily work.
•    Fluency in both spoken and written English and a willingness to learn Danish.

About the department
The Manufacturing Development department at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech comprises of 40 dedicated employees across three teams. As a Development Scientist, you will be part of a team of 15 scientists and specialists focused on developing and supplying novel materials for therapeutic protein manufacturing in the biopharmaceutical industry. We collaborate closely with our customers to create optimal solutions for both new and existing products, catering to a wide range of medical conditions.
