About the department
The Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department in Novo Nordisk Indonesia is a close-knit team of highly motivated people. We drive business through science by impactful CMR initiatives and robust cross-functional collaboration.

 

The position
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Manager plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between scientific expertise and business strategy. They oversee a team of MSLs, ensuring they effectively communicate complex medical and clinical information to healthcare professionals, researchers, and stakeholders. Their responsibilities include developing scientific engagement strategies, maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and ensuring compliance with the requirements by properly coach and develop the team. They also provide insights that help shape product development and commercialization, ensuring that the company's medical and scientific messaging is accurate and impactful. By fostering collaboration between internal teams and external experts, an MSL Manager enhances the credibility and success of pharmaceutical innovations in the healthcare landscape. MSL Manager will be responsible for our portfolio, reporting to CMR Director and closely collaborate with Medical Managers and other function in the organization. 

 

This position requires:
•    Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Association Engagement - Mapping and structured engagement of KOLs/associations in support of Novo Nordisk's strategy to ultimately improve lives of people living with diabetes.
•    Medical Education - Develop and implement multi-channel medical education strategy for insulin portfolio and support activities led by commercial teams.
•    Medical Guidance - Adapt global medical strategy for obesity to fit the local market, including the creation of medical activity plans in collaboration with other functions; conduct internal training; translation of scientific information for internal stakeholders to assist with the development and implementation of strategy; approval of promotional material; provision of tailored medical responses.
•    Publication Planning – Drive publication of abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and manuscripts for insulin portfolio, especially those addressing local evidence gaps.
•    Evidence Generation – Produce real-world evidence (RWE) for diabetes and related products (including Investigator Sponsored Studies, ISS). The role is also expected to represent Novo Nordisk Indonesia in various diabetes-related internal and external scientific forum. 

 

Qualifications
•    Medical Doctor from reputable university, with more than 7 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or institutions in the healthcare sector.
•    Strategic, problem-solving, and innovative mindset. Experience with patient associations, multi-channel customer engagement (especially digital initiatives), and RWE studies is highly preferred. 
•    Strong ability to influence and work with cross-functional colleagues as well as external stakeholder.
•    Passionate in people and development. Experience in managing people is highly desirable.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
