Your new role
As General Manager for Indonesia, you will shape strategy for a nation of 270 million people, build partnerships that transform patient access, and lead a strong team driving breakthrough results in diabetes, obesity and rare diseases. Your responsibilities will include:

Setting the strategic direction for the Indonesian affiliate and leading your team to meet and exceed P&L targets through mid-to-long term strategic plans

Building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with key medical, payer, and government agencies, to ensure market access for our innovative portfolio

Shaping and executing organizational strategy while developing people capabilities that are fit for the future

Supervising negotiations for pricing and reimbursement across all products, ensuring our innovations reach the patients who need them

Representing Novo Nordisk to local authorities and key opinion leaders across all therapeutic areas

Identifying market trends and potential business challenges, preparing effective plans to address them proactively

Driving a performance culture and winning mindset through empowering leadership and meaningful performance dialogues

Ensuring all activities comply with Novo Nordisk internal policies, local regulations, and the highest ethical standards
Your new department
Within International Operations, you'll be part of Region APAC. The Indonesian affiliate currently employs approximately 250 employees who are dedicated to bringing our innovations to market. As General Manager, you'll be a member of the senior leadership team of Region APAC, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Region APAC, and will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an inspiring and progressive leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and frontline focus. You'll bring with you:

A relevant graduate-level degree (e.g., Pharmacy, Science, or Business Administration) with at least 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry

A minimum of 8 years of management experience leading functions such as sales, marketing, business development, or finance with proven success in multiple settings (affiliate/region/HQ) within Obesity/ Diabetes or other chronic therapy areas

Previous experience in General Managerial roles managing similar level of complexities would be an advantage.

At least 8 years in a people management position, leading and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams, preferably managing leaders

Strong public affairs understanding, as interactions with external stakeholders are of high importance to this role

Bold and ambitious leadership with a 'can-do' attitude, coupled with innovation and strong cultural understanding

The ability to lead, inspire, and engage through role modelling and impactful communication while prioritizing compliance and ethics

Fluency in spoken and written English
