About the department
This position is part of the GLP-1 team at Novo Nordisk Indonesia, which is comprised of highly driven individuals passionate about changing the landscape of diabetes and obesity management. We work closely with internal stakeholders to educate our customers on our products and related disease areas. Our focus is on execution, leadership, trust, and accountability. We strive to be a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients. This position is based in Jakarta, and will report to the Business Development Head.
The position
As an Associate Market Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and managing strategic commercial partnerships that support our business objectives and drive future growth. You will be responsible for the full partnership lifecycle—from opportunity scouting and evaluation to negotiation, contracting, and post-deal implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating business needs into commercial partnership strategies by identifying opportunities that align with our future portfolio goals and bring long-term value to Novo Nordisk.
- Proactively identifying and evaluating potential partners across key sectors, including eHealth, clinics, corporate health providers, private insurers, and other healthcare-related stakeholders.
- Leading the engagement, negotiation, and contracting process with selected partners, while working closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Market Access, Legal, and Finance to ensure alignment and due diligence.
- Building robust business cases and partnership models, both financial and strategic, and driving internal review and governance processes to secure approvals.
- Managing partnerships post-contract by maintaining strong communication channels, monitoring performance, aligning on KPIs, and ensuring the partnership delivers on its intended objectives.
Qualifications
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, commercial partnerships, or stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability in project management, business case development, and contract negotiation.
- Experience working with healthcare decision-makers and multi-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
