The Position

1. Financial Strategy Development
• Set and implement a financial strategy that aligns with the organization's goals.

• Anticipate internal and external business challenges to ensure sustainable growth and financial stability.

• Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts that support business objectives.

• Set affiliate direction on investments and resource allocation.

2. Overseeing Financial Operations
• Direct daily financial and accounting operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Oversee financial planning and analysis, including budget preparation and execution.

• Manage accounting functions, treasury, payroll, and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to local regulations.

• Lead digital transformation initiatives in financial processes, including advanced analytics and blockchain adoption.

• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement to ensure product availability and profitability.

• Develop necessary procedures for smooth running of operations.

3.Risk Management and Compliance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization’s assets and reputation.
• Adhere to ethical procedures, local laws, and organizational policies.

4.Stakeholder Engagement
• Engage with key stakeholders to align financial strategies with overall business goals.

• Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
• Play active role in affiliate leadership as part of management team.

5.Team Leadership and Development
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Manage organizational design and development within the finance function.
• Implement performance management and coaching to upskill team members and build competencies.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related discipline; relevant master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is desirable.
• Qualified member of HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent is preferred.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a management role, preferably gained from pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry.
• Experience of working in Big-4 and / or multinational corporations would be a definite advantage.

• Fluency in both written & spoken English is a must, and fluency in both written & spoken Cantonese/Mandarin is preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office and financial modelling tools for data analysis and presentation to Management.
• Strong financial systems knowledge (e.g. SAP, ERP systems, BI tools).
• Competent in capturing and comparing data in various format, and translate it into reportable formats.

• Excellent storytelling skills to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.

• Proven ability of strategic financial planning. Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, providing insights that support strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Expertise in identifying, analysing, and solving complex financial and operational issues that have a broad impact on the business.
• Proven experience in leading and managing diverse teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving performance through effective leadership.

• High Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment and meeting tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with flexible and agile mindset.
