The position

This position is office-based and will report to the Head of Medical Affairs and be a member of the affiliate Medical team.


The Medical Manager/Advisor is responsible to contribute actively in building, maintaining and updating scientific knowledge in the therapy area. As a Medical Manager/Advisor you  will plan, execute and disseminate up-to-date medical knowledge and clinical trial data, leveraging scientific and clinical expertise with local and regional physicians.
You are expected to have the understanding of scientific data for training purposes and are  expected to design, help and/or coordinate educational programmes and workshops. The key responsibilities of the role are to develop regional medical advisory services for stakeholders, to increase scientific awareness and clinical usefulness profile of our products, to develop short-, medium-, and long-term local and national plans, and to collaborate cross-functionally with a customer-centered focus. You will be working closely with key Opinion Leaders in the area of Diabetes, helping improve the quality of Diabetes management in your region of responsibility.
The role includes the responsibility to build strong scientific and peer relationships with key stakeholders and identified major institutions within the health care sector, as well as to liaise with office-based medical managers to ensure optimal delivery of scientific information to the medical and scientific community. You will act as a scientific ambassador for Novo Nordisk, ensuring that the profile of the company remains high amongst key stakeholders through establishing a peer-to-peer relationship based on scientific rigor and integrity. Additionally, the role will provide medical training for various internal and external stakeholders. 


The candidate is expected to have a university degree in Life Sciences such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and excellent command of written and spoken English and Vietnamese. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry is considered an advantage.
The candidate should have a deep understanding of the diabetes therapeutic area. The candidate should be aligned with our Novo Nordisk Way and demonstrate knowledge of the health care system in Vietnam and be able to link scientific data with business strategy. Excellent communication skills, business and industry acumen, making things happen, innovating in a changing environment, stakeholder management are some further required competencies.
